In July 2025 the Mazzeis were able to get their story to Alice Marie Johnson through creative means. Erin has already served here sentence in Federal Prison and has returned home, but now Chris is serving his sentence in Federal Prison, prolonging the family's separation.
On the recommendation of Mike Davis, the Mazzeis sent Pardon Attorney Ed Martin a complete copy of the clemency packet.
